"The Light in YOU"

Words I came across today.....

"No one after lightening a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no park dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light."

Luke 11:33-36

To Hide or Face Adversity?.....

When facing the teeth of adversity, we either hide from our challenges by avoiding them or we face them head-on. The easy option is to hide from our problems because we will live to see another day, but if we choose to do so, sooner or later we will again be victimized by the similar circumstances. On the other hand, the tougher option is to  face our problems head-on with intentions of completely shattering them, but if we choose to do so too soon, we could ruin ourselves and others

Hiding from our problems, in most cases, is simply the easy way out. If you're not a confrontational persons, dealing with "drama" on a regular bases is both tiresome and deflating. Simply "turning the other cheek" is ideal and in many cases, its actually helpful with overcoming adversity.  In the end, living a stress-free lifestyle is your ultimate goal and by turning the other cheek to adversity, you'll be choosing temporary happiness over sadness. But in most cases, temporary happiness at the expense of sadness is like a game of Poker, you'll win some of the time but not most of the time.

Facing our problems head-on with the intentions of completely destroying them is the ideal way to go. If you're a confrontational person, dealing with "drama" or "confusion" on a regular bases comes easy. Turning the other cheek simply isn't an option because the problem will still be there at the expense of your happiness which  is counter productive in your eyes; not on you clock. In the end, living a stress-free lifestyle is still your ultimate goal and by facing adversity head-on, you''re sacrificing temporary sadness  over happiness. But in some cases, temporary sadness over permanent happiest is like a game of Russian Roulette, you'll win some of the time but if you lost.....you'll lose BIG.

In conclusion, there's no right or wrong way to facing the teeth of adversity. The easy option is to hide from our problems now, and pray similar circumstances don't resurface later, but that's highly unlikely because we'll see them again. The tougher option is to  face problems head-on, but if we're not mentally prepared for the task, we will ruining ourselves and others in the process.

So Make a decision and live with it.
