Happy Relationships will birth Happy Marriage, but.......ONLY

HAPPILY EVER AFTER is the ultimate dream for us as people. We all want that “house on a hill” with the green grass and puppies running all over the yard. We all want that ideal companion holding our hand during the day, while rocking us to sleep at night. We all want the ideal family that consist of, but isn’t limited to: Man, Woman, Child/Children and Pet. Working during our weekdays, while enjoying our weekend is the ideal work schedule for us all, but what does it take to even get to this level and does this “ideal world” even exist??!!!

With that being said, US as men must be willing to first answer these next few questions honesty and must be willing to make adequate adjustments accordingly; they are 1) We must build our worth as promising men,  but are we willing to strive for personal growth every day? 2) We are fast to criticize others, but are we able to handle criticism ourselves? 3) The pretty woman is preferred, but why are we fast to QUEEN these worthless women [gold digging lazy women], when there are countless beautiful smart princesses out here already waiting for us to QUEEN them? 4) (For those that this apply to) Why not be fathers to our children, when we are the ones that brought them here in the first place?! *Hint: they didn’t ask to be born.

But it goes both ways so.....

LADIES...word on the streets is that a GOOD MAN is hard to find, but ladies, 1) if you aren't happy with yourselves, what makes you believe you'll be able to bring happiness to a man's life? 2) If you're too stubborn to admit to wrong or reach out for his love, what makes you believe you'll bring happiness to a man's life? 3) If you aren't willing to NEGOTIATE..what makes you believe you'll make someone a happy WIFE??? 5) (For those that this applies to) If a man wants to see his child, yet he doesn’t want to be with you, why keep him from his child because you still hold that personal grudge?*Hint: You’re only hurting yourself because that children will go searching for the truth one day. I know people that are in this dilemma now.

In conclusion, these questions will not guarantee us LOVE or the Perfect marriage, but I do believe that they’ll put you in better position to meet that “ideal” companion, but only if we are willing to honesty answer these few questions. Will you and your family live in that “house on a green hill with the child/children and pets? HAHA that all depends on you and your companion’s work ethic!! :D Look I’m not a relationship expect, not even trying to be, but I do ask tons of questions, which is where these questions derived from.

Delight vs Disappointment & Why Your Attitude Matters!!

When Delighted by someone or something....life as we know it... is Grand :D We are emotionally complete & fulfilled, while our perfect world continues to spend in peace. We will willingly smile at every passing stranger on the sidewalk, whistle with chirping birds outside, reply to needy friend's txt messages & even opt to cover the tab after the lunch.

However......

When Disappointed by someone or something...........life as we know it is Anarchy :( We are emotionally strained & defected, our once perfect world is now broken & covered with dark misty rain clouds. We can't find the strength to smile, so we avoid eye contact with passing strangers on the sidewalk. We don't see or hear any chirping birds outside. We don't reply to our friend's txt messages, so that once lucky lunch date at Panera Bread is now yesterdays used toilet tissue, flushed down the toilet.

See, WE as people, might CAN'T manipulate any & everything in life, but we CAN control how WE respond to adversity!

True, God/Allah/Buddha or whomever you believe in, made us in their self image, but with attribute restrictions. The single greatest attribute restriction they posse, but what we lack, is full manipulation of life itself. With that being said, I believe this "lacking" of full manipulation, is why we are so easily frustrated when things don't go our way because we need full control of everything & everyone. Ultimately, this simple miscue is why others letting us down...We give people titles they never were & power they never earned in the first place! This prerequisite is also what leads to our egos being brush, which is also the prerequisite to Disappointment.

But.....Like I previous stated, we Can Control how WE respond to adversity in life itself. Our logical theories & vivid prospectives can help us jump start our day with that redefined energy!! God/Allah/Buddha ect. never intended for us to have ALL OUT power over everything. This is also why, despite our many flaws, America is still a super power after all these years. Our nations power is allocated across several branches, unlike previous super powers in history. From The Roman Empire to Hitler's Germany the lacking of allocation is why they crumbled. Its just in our nature..... to crave for my power! But we weren't created to control everything in the first place!lol Anyway, by us controlling what we CAN, we aren't only barricading negativity from penetrating our brain, but also bettering our life style each & everyday. Positive thing is contagious too because who doesn't want to be associated which Rev. TD Jakes or Billy Gram. Let's face it by surrounding yourself with positive person, it give you a more positive outlook on life which is the ultimate prerequisite to being Delighted!!!





So never give into defeat & never stop believing in yourself! Never stop trying! Never stop fighting because WE as people, might CAN'T manipulate any & everything in life, but we CAN control how WE handle adversity.

Are You A Winner??????

By definition via dictionary.com the word "Winner" is defined as "a person, situation or outcome whereby the winner receives all the prizes or rewards.", but I define a Winner in simpler terms as A PERSON THAT REFUSES TO GIVE UP!

To me, a winner is defined more so by their refusal to give in to defeat than by their representation of prestigious awards. Let's face it, both criticism & praise are inevitable, but if we give our ALL regardless who's present or absent, we'll be Winners regardless! So what defines a Winner?

These characteristics!

A Winner strives to top yesterdays bad or good performance. A Winner gives back to others in some way, shape or form. A Winner leads by example. A Winner encourages others to do what is right, despite how the world many feel. A Winner's resilient attitude motivates them to be either be an advocate or assailant of any cause they theoretically believe in . A Winner................NEVER QUITS.... which makes it even harder to ever lose, which is why I chose my mother to represent my definition of Winner!

Mom and Me

My mother, one of the sweetest & most loving woman i know, never won a championship ring. She was never a guess speaker on the Tonight Show, never sign an autograph like a Pro Bowl Eagle quarterback Mike Vick or Yankees Short Stop Derek Jetter. She never made a circus touchdown catch like Pro Bowl Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald. She never had a Triple Double like Heat forward all-star LeBron James. She never pitch a perfect game like Phillies ace Roy Halladay,.....but she is a champion in life because of her makes up everything with her resilient attitude! Which is why she's a winner!

As a friend, wife,mother & boss she always gave her everything & despite things not always turning out the way she would've like them to, she never gave into defeat. She always encouraged her friends, despite her friends not always agreeing with her prospective. She always encouraged my father to act right, despite him not always acting right. She always encouraged her children to do what was right, despite us not always wanting to listen. She always encouraged her workers to be better than her, despite them not always wanting to be at work. She NEVER gave into defeat, because of her Never Die Attitude which is why she is a Winner!

So do you have what it takes to be a Winner? Are you the type that strives for a better tomorrow & do you willingly give back to others? Are you a leader that lead by example? Do you encourage others to do what is right despite the opposition?

I think you are a Winner & regardless where you may be or what you're going thru, never give into defeat. Always remember that Winners Never Quit, but Quitters Never Win & by becoming A PERSON THAT REFUSES TO GIVE UP, you'll establish yourself as a Winner!

Verizon IPHONE??????!!!!

IPHONE for Verizon?????!!!

So why is Apple deciding to now offer Verizon users the IPHONE?

Simple...... Apple is threaten by Google's Android!

This Verizon gig will position their product to seize a larger share of the mobile pie by surpassing the Android in US Sales. According to businessweek.com the current U.S top sellers are 1) Blackberry(33%) 2)Android(26%) & 3)IPHONE(25%). This percentages shifty daily, but with Apple latest antic, expect the IPHONE to shift ahead of the Android & possibly knock Research In Motion Ltd.'S Blackberry out of the top spot. But will this Verizon version of the IPHONE offer more capabilities & features than AT&T's version???

Right now details are sketchy about Verizon's version, but according to several sources via Twitter & other media outlets, Verizon's version may be a 3G only device. This could mean that AT&T version might still outperform the Verizon version because of its 4G coverage.

BUT

AT&T spotty 4G coverage might prove costly if not address because Verizon's 3G coverage is very reliable!

So before jumping ship for this new verizon of the IPHONE, make sure you do your research because you wouldn't want to drop AT&T version or Google's Android or Research In Motion Ltd.'S Blackberry for a cool, yet error filled Verizon IPHONE!!!!

So are you Materialistic or Selfless?? Well, honesty speaking, it all depends on whom you ask?

For Tony Montana [Al Pacino] , from Oliver Stone's 1983 American epic crime drama film Scarface or Lil' Wayne[according to his lyrics anyway], Young Money CEO & Cash Money Guru, the craven for "Money, Power & Beautiful Women" are characteristics of Materialism.

However, on the opposite end of the spectrum Coach Tony Dungy, former Colts Super Bowl winning coach & current NBC football analysis, or Mark Merrill, founder of All- Pro Dad [the fatherhood program of Family First, non-profit organization based in Tampa, Florida], the emphasis of "God, Family & Friends" are characteristics of a Selfless person .

Whichever side you choose, I hope you're able to live with your devotion by understanding both pros & cons of your preferred side.

For the Materialistic person, one might live like a King/Queen with their lavish life style ; A lifestyle free of debt, surround by powerful acquaintances & adored by beautiful women... yet often paranoid by the many stressers of fame which are phony friends, constant attention from people with shadowy agendas & harassment from the media...

..However..

For the Selflish person....one might earn the "key to the city" from excelling in humanitarian events with spotless class, advancement at a accelerated pace in his/her career & land nearly any "legal" job America from having plausible references.....yet not live as lavishly & possibly up to their neck in debt, frowned upon/overlooked by today's materialistic society; hardly ever recognized for their accomplishments...

So are you Materialistic: a person fueled by & defines success by money/power/fame or Selfless: a person fueled by God/ Family/Friends. Are you happy with your lifestyle & if so why or why not???

Like many other things in life, there isn't necessarily a right or wrong, good or bad, answer because they both have there fair share of advantages & disadvantages. Some people were raised with a silver spoon in their mouths, while others were raised with a rusty fork.

Whichever side you choose....choose wisely because, true we aren't able to control the situation we were born in, but we are able to dictate the type of lifestyle we live in now. We might not have the same resources, but we are able to surround ourselves with either positive or troublesome friends. So always remember that THE DECISIONS YOU MAKE NOW..will last a LIFETIME.... so be smart & have no regrets!!!!

Is it the SHOES??!! *NBA JAM voice

Hello there & again thank you for reading. This is the "Bran Flake Blog" & like I previously stated, this blog is composed of random topics!! lol & todays topic is about...you guessed it..... SHOE Brands :D.

Footwear is a very broad spectrum & we can't possibly cover every single brand, so please forgive me if I omit your favorite brand. These select brands were in response to the question I posted on Facebook & Twitter "What is your favorite brand of shoes & why???" But before we dive into this Blog entry I'll like to thank Miss. L Perez, Miss. D Alise, Miss. B Taylor, Mrs. T Amerson, Mrs. J Royal-Boone, Miss. Amanda T, Mr. A Walsingham, Mr. J Harris, Mr. Jimmy Fredrick, Mr. E Guerrero & Mr. Andrew Boyd for voicing their opinions for this BLOG. I really appreciate your feed back & thank you! :D

We all love shoes!! I work in the Nike Outlet Mall in Smithfield, North Carolina & I'm amazed by how much money customers are willing to spend for their favorite shoes. From Air Force 1's to Air Max 90's we're willing to shovel out hundreds of dollars for that must own shoe. I'm obviously a Nike guy, not only because I currently working at the Factory, but also because as a former athlete NIKE was always my preferred brand, but does that mean NIKE is the best to everyone? NO, but to my buddies Mr. Boyd & Mr. Harris NIKE is that.

Mr. Boyd states this when it comes to Nike "they've got a shoe for everything." Which is true considering me working in the company, while Mr. Harris gives us a more detailed account by stating "they have the most versatile brand. I wore Nike for football, basketball and track, as well as casual wear & clothes. " Us three are obviously Pro NIKE, but Mr. A Walsingham & Mrs. J Royal-Boone prefers Chuck Taylors over everything else.

Mr. Walsingham states that "chucks" are favored "because they have dual function" by being both ".....old school and trendy!!!" Mrs. Royal-Boone underscores his remark by stating" chucks.....love them simplicity!!!". As you can see NIKE & Chuck Taylors are very trendy shoes, but Miss. B Taylor & Mr. J Fredrick both prefer ADIDAS over other brands.

Miss. Taylor states that she favors ADIDAS over NIKE because, for her, being a soccer athlete, they make better cleats. "Adidas!! I'm not a fan of Nike, but that's because i grew up playing Soccer, & they definitely have better soccer cleats." Which is true to a certain degree because ADIDAS does have a firm grip on the FIFA World Tour! Mr. Fredrick also favors ADIDAS, but also favors other brands of shoes which include, Saucony, New Balance Stacy Adams. He states "Saucony, New Balance, Adidas, and Stacy's[Adams] [because]..the first 3 feel good on my feet and the Stacy's LOOK good on my feet! Lol" So we'll mentioned NIKE, Chuck Taylor, ADIDAS, Saucony, New Balance & Stacy Adams, but Miss. D Alise & Miss. A Trevino favors heels over everything.

Miss. Alise favors Nine West "because they are comfortable and fly!" While Miss Trevino favors Heels in general because "Heels [are]....sexy [&] classy!". Lol they both are right because most men find women in Heels extremely appealing, sometimes preferred, but on the other hand Mr. E Guerrero, Vans, Miss. L Perez & Mrs. T Amerson all have different preferences.

Mr. Guerrero favors VANS, Miss. L Perez favors Reebok, while Mrs. T Amerson likes all shoe brands but prefers....NO SHOES at all! :D. Mr. Guerrero states that he favors Vans " because they come in a large array of colors.  And are so cheap!" Which is true because most shoes retail at around 60/70 $ on average. However,  Miss. Perez favors Reebok and this is what she had to say about them  "Reebok all day everyday comfortable and stylish at least for the ladies." Which is true as well because Reebok has been extending their brand since the mid 90's. Unlike everyone I've mentioned, Mrs. Amerson likes ALL brands of shoes, but prefers "barefoot and in the sand." But regarding shoes she states "Oh shoes.....ALL...and I mean ALL!!! Hahhahahaha!"." That's a broad answer so I asked her if she had a certain brand & she states"
"Uhmm....nope. Love shoes...like seriously I have a problem! LOL! And yessssssssss.....BEACH WOMAN BIG TIME! Nothing like toes in the sand and drink in the hand! ;)" which sums up Mrs. Amerson lol. She's a Beach Woman at heart!


So what shoe brand trumps all? Well it depends on who you ask because not everyone prefers a Nike or Adidas or New Balance etc. But we all have the power of choice, so whatever you prefer, make sure its what you feel comfortable representing. Mr. Boyd, Mr. Harris and myself favors NIKE, but Mr. Walsingham and Mrs. Royal-Boone prefers Chuck Taylors. Miss. B Taylor and Mr. Fredrick prefers Adidas, Saucony, New Balance and Stacy Adams, but Miss. Alise and Miss. Trevino prefers Heels. Mr. Guerrero favors Vans, Miss. Perez favors Reebok, while Mrs. Amerson likes all shoes, but prefers NO SHOES. lol We all favor some brand of shoes because they all offer something the other can't. So which one is superior? Well depends on what you're looking for :D

Good evening and thank you for reading. The featured quote of today is by Robert Louis Stevenson, the Scottish novelist/poet/essayist and travel writer that I recall from his book Treasure Island. His quote "Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant...." jumps out at me today because, to me, from every struggle you endure…you enhance in power. Lol and no I’m not talking in physical nature, but more so in theoretical terms.

I posted earlier this morning via Facebook and Twitter this message “just because people aren't always acknowledging your potential doesn't mean you lack it...just means you haven't blossomed yet”. This is really important because I read far too many discouraging “tweets” and “status updates” on Twitter and Facebook!!!

We usually post by mood, so I’m assuming that most of us aren’t having the best of luck these days. BUT...Don’t let today’s lack of encouragement, derail your overall dream!!! And for the record the lack of acknowledgment doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re talent isn’t good enough because anything is possible; it could just mean that you’re not surrounding yourself with the right caliber of people needed to launch your idea/skills of the ground!  

With all of this being said….never give up on your dream. Believe in yourself and others! If you have a boyfriend/girlfriend with a dream…fuel that dream because ENCOURAGEMENT is contagious!! But in the mean time search and surround yourself with friends that you feed off of mentally. Certain people do have that Aura about them…..and it’s up to you to find them, but if you’re planting today’s “seeds” with FAITH, under today’s BAD “harvest” ,may very well be tomorrows fruitage BLESSING   :D

What this Blog is all about

Hello there & thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to read my first entry. I've been wanting to BLOG for some time now, from the recommendation of countless others, but wasn't able to do so, because of my intense schedule. I'm not blessed with the luxury of having a computer at my finger tips 24-7 lol, so I'll be relying heavily on my blackberry for posting :D, so here we go!

This first entry is more of a informative session than anything else, so hopefully my info will grab your attention lol. I'm a freelance writer, with a number of opinions, geared towards bettering my self & others. I don't have all of the answers, but I am credible with my information thru countless articles I browse thru on a daily bases, but your opinions are far more important, so PLEASE do share!!!

We'll cover everything from music, sports, current events, travel, books, games, relationships, friendships, motivational, inspirational & every other thing imaginable!!! Now of course we'll keep everything professional, so please do respect the censorship clause by debating yet respecting everyone's opinions, because everyone deserves to be heard!!
